This is a brief post and I am still cautious as my oncologist has not yet received the full report or discussed this with me, but I feel I must acknowledge God's goodness and praise him.
Before today's chemotherapy, I had a scan to assess how well the treatment was working. The expectation was that the first three cycles would only stop the growth of this aggressive cancer, and the next four doses of a different chemo drug combined with two bio-targeted treatments would begin to shrink the tumours.
But to my amazement, after only two cycles, the radiologist who scanned me said that while she could see metal clips inserted in the three tumours as locators prior to the beginning of the treatment, she (and I quote) ‘couldn’t see the lesions’!
I nearly jumped for joy and shouted out Thank you Lord! - much to the her amusement. (She actually scanned me three times just to make sure!)
